Cuerpos Libres" es un festival que tiene lugar en Centroamérica, donde se exponen realidades y problemáticas que las mujeres aún enfrentan en pleno 2024, como el derecho a decidir sobre sus propios cuerpos, las injusticias que persisten, la fuerza y la lucha que han sostenido a lo largo de generaciones. Estas cuestiones se presentan a través de expresiones artísticas como el canto, el muralismo y el audiovisual, y cada categoría es premiada a la mejor propuesta. El festival reúne a mujeres de El Salvador, Honduras y Guatemala.

En la octava edición, celebrada en 2023, tuve la dicha de desarrollar los elementos visuales, personajes, línea gráfica y props del evento. La animación estuvo a cargo de Milton Zecaida.
Cada personaje representa una categoría del festival, y el diseño general se inspiró en las cartografías ilustradas por mujeres de Centroamérica, donde plasmaron sus consignas y mensajes en posters y carteles ilustrados. Por eso se pueden apreciar trazos y texturas de pinceladas a lo largo de las piezas"

In the eighth edition, held in 2023, I had the pleasure of developing the visual elements, characters, graphic line, and props for the event. Animation was handled by Milton Zecaida.
Each character represents a category of the festival, and the overall design was inspired by the illustrated maps created by women from Central America, where they expressed their slogans and messages on posters and illustrated signs. This is why brushstrokes and textures can be appreciated throughout the pieces.
